Born Free Motorcoach CompanyThe Born Free Motorcoach Company

Born Free Motorcoach is a completely owned subsidiary of Dodgen Industries, Inc. and is one of the older companies in the RV business today. Born Free coaches are sold factory-direct in the U.S. and Canada, manufacturing Class C motor coaches for over 38 years and gaining a reputation as one of the best in the business. “We are known for three things – quality, safety and drivability,” says a representative for the company. “We have two inch steel roll bars throughout all our coaches, the insides are built with real wood, not pressed woods and we have an all fiberglass body with a lifetime warranty on the fiberglass. Our shape is different and we have won awards for drivability. Our design is unique and our company is unique.” Born Free also manufactures mobility-modified RVs for those who need to use mobility aids, such as wheel chairs or scooters.

Born Free states there has never been a fatality in a Born Free.

They also have one of the best resale values in the RV industry. These are the factors that set Born Free apart from its competitors Coach House, Dynamax, Winnebago and Lazy Daze. What’s more, Born Free has a unique customer base, with popularity due, in part, to the size and the fact that it’s a step up from a Class B, and it’s more convenient. In fact, it handles much like a van. “Added to that is the floor plan which is ready to go, and you don’t have to move things to make a room here and there like in a Class B, yet it’s still a small coach,” says Born Free.

Motorhome guideBorn Free has five different motorcoaches ranging from 20’ to 27’. For 2012 Born Free Motorcoach introduced a new floor plan for the most popular models, their rear-bath models. The 25’ Rear Bath unit comes with a slide-out sofa bed in the lounge area which makes into a 60” x 76” queen bed with a baffled air mattress.  In addition to the sofa / bed slide, the new floor plan features residential quality cabinets and 4 different furniture options, resulting in a warm and homey feeling. It features a kitchen that works very well, giving you more space than you would expect in a Class C model. The unit also features a very spacious rear bath which Born Free is well known for. In addition the rear bath layout in the 25’ unit has also been updated to make it even more spacious and useable.  A double wardrobe includes hang-up shelves and more drawers allowing for efficient and accessible organization of your personal items.

Born Free also has 2 Class B+ models, their 20’ and 22’, which they say are built for 2 people. They are much easier to drive than larger units and Born Free says they are the “best of all worlds”.
